Opened Ginza NAGANO store: Started selling apricot-dyed deerskin
Event held at Ginza NAGANO on June 28, 2023
We held an event at Ginza NAGANO with the people from Chikuma City Hall!

"Fureful Shinshu / Taste Chikuma City apricots" is an event held six times a year by Fureful Shinshu. In June, a collaborative event was held between Chikuma City and Shinjuku Takano Fruit Parlor. It seems to be an abbreviation for Fureful Fruits Shinshu.
At this event, we were given 5 minutes of the 20-minute explanation slot for Chikuma City to introduce our apricot-dyed deerskin .
This is an exceptionally smooth start!!!
It's a little too early for the apricot-dyed deerskin that was completed in mid-May to be on display at the event on June 28th!
The dyeing was completed in early May, and at the same time the slippers and wallet were finished, a presentation document was created to be submitted to Chikuma City, which was then submitted in the middle of the month!
I knew that now is apricot season, so I thought maybe I could incorporate this somehow , and made a suggestion!
When we took our idea to Chikuma City's Agriculture and Forestry Department , they were very impressed, saying, "This is a great idea!"
" There's an An event going on at Ginza NAGANO, can we set up a stall there too? " and things went smoothly.
Thus, we decided to exhibit at the event on June 28th, and to start displaying our products from that day onwards.
( The sale at Ginza NAGANO is on the 2nd floor and will run until the end of September. )
The day of the event!

Products available at Ginza NAGANO include "apricot-dyed leather room slippers," "apricot-dyed leather clasp long wallets," key cases, pen cases, glasses cases, and pouches.
The positioning seems to be telling me to take the stage firmly at the front ^^;

As expected, Ginza is a bit intimidating and I felt a bit nervous ^^;

The Ginza NAGANO event has begun!

There are many different kinds of apricots, some for processing and some for eating raw, such as Harcot, which is eaten raw, and Heiwa, which is preserved in syrup, but it seems that it was only about 7 years ago that the kind for eating raw became widely available!
Harcott has such a short history!

Mr. Moriyama of Shinjuku Takano explains about Anzu. He is an amazing person who has written many books and appeared on TV!

After an explanation by a Chikuma city official about the charms of Chikuma city and the background of apricot production, it was time for Groover Leather to take the stage. However, as the video explaining Chikuma city also featured an introduction to Kubota-san from Sarashina Hanaori Kobo, who dyes the apricots, I had to quickly rethink what I was going to say (^^;;
Well, on the contrary, it was easier to talk than if I had decided on my words rigidly, but I was a little nervous lol

We will do our best to continue the apricot-dyed deerskin (apricot-dyed leather) and the Shinshu Ethical Project together with the economy! Also, this apricot-dyed deerskin will be a way to promote the charm of Chikuma City...something like that?
I don't remember very well (^_^;)

After the explanation, we played a video about Groover Leather so that the attendees could learn about apricot dyeing.

After this was the main event! Moriyama's apricot cooking class. The main thing he taught was how to cut fruit, which I thought was something I'd really like to do too, so it was fun to watch (^○^)

After being taught many different cutting techniques, the event came to an end when everyone had completed and eaten their own individually designed parfaits!
We also learned how to cut roses!
We would also like to move forward so that we can hold events combining local game cuisine and workshops at Ginza NAGANO in the future.

We hope that these activities will serve as a catalyst for livening up Nagano, and we will continue to do our best!
